How to Use This Roadmap

First, breathe: Mistria has no fail state. Board requests never expire, story quests wait indefinitely, and every festival returns next year — nothing in Year 1 can be permanently missed. This roadmap exists because the game hands you systems faster than it hands you priorities, and a season wasted on the wrong crop or the wrong Renown source is still a season. Treat it as a recommended order of operations, not a checklist of obligations: if you would rather spend all of Summer fishing, the game will happily let you, and Fall will catch you up. The one non-negotiable thread is Renown — it is the master key that reopens the Mines, and the Mines gate ore, gear, perks and the marriage endgame. Everything below bends toward keeping that bar moving.

💡 The First Week Guide covers Spring 1-7 in day-by-day detail; this page picks up from there and runs to Winter 28.

The Year at a Glance

One table to plan the whole year. Renown targets are cumulative level milestones on the 1-100 ladder (rank names change every ten levels); mine depth assumes you push 5 floors at a time from the Stone Rank unlock onward. If you hit roughly these numbers, every system in the game will have opened on schedule.

💡 Every tenth Renown level (10, 20, 30…70) pays a permanent Stamina Up — the ladder rewards you with more day, the more you climb it.

Spring: The Stone Rank Push

The season has exactly one structural goal: Renown Level 10, Stone Rank, which reopens the Mines (watch for Errol's letter, then meet him and Eiland at the mine entrance with a sword and healing food). Getting there is a rhythm, not a grind: take every one-item board request that looks doable (most pay about 20 Renown plus Tesserae), ship your forage surplus, and donate your first museum finds. On the farm, run Turnips for the opening week (4-day growth, 40t) and switch to Peas the moment they unlock — 5-day growth with a 3-day regrow makes Peas the season's workhorse at ~27t per tile per day. Greet and gift townsfolk from Day 1; early hearts are cheap and the whole cast interlocks. The Spring Festival on the 17th (collect Breath of Spring, submit to Celine) and the Cooking Contest on the 24th are both free Renown and free fun.

  • Board requests first, every day — never-expiring does not mean never-doing; they are the main Renown channel.
  • Turnip opener → Peas mainstay; keep a two-of-each buffer of forageables for future requests.
  • Spring Festival (17th): collect Breath of Spring and submit to Celine.
  • Cooking Contest (24th): enter anything — participation itself pays.
  • By season end you want Renown 15-20, the Water Seal broken at Floor 20, and a Copper Pickaxe in hand.

Late Spring: Into the Upper Mines

Floors 1-19 are the Upper Mines: Copper Ore and Ruby nodes, the Sapling and Mushroom monster families, and Mimics that will trade loot for any item you throw at them. Learn the 5-floor rhythm immediately — only every fifth floor is an elevator checkpoint, and anything past a checkpoint regenerates if the run ends mid-stretch. Rush ladders instead of clearing every rock, carry energy food, and end every mining day on a multiple of 5. Your first Essence (flowing from Spring 3 onward) goes to the Dragon Statue at the mine entrance: Treasure Hunter and Ore-riginal (Tier 1, 20 and 25 Essence) turn routine descents into passive income before you commit to anything bigger.

💡 Feed dormant Mimics an item instead of fighting them — free loot, zero HP risk.

Summer: Tide Caverns & the First Automation

Floors 21-39 are the Tide Caverns — Iron Ore and Sapphire, exactly where "where do I farm iron?" gets its hard answer. Iron is the season's structural material: better tools, building upgrades, and the equipment that makes Fall comfortable. On the surface, Tea is the crop (brew it into Green Tea for the value-add), and this is the season to expand ranching — complete the "Upgrade Hayden's Barn" story quest to unlock Horses, Sheep, Ducks and Rabbits. Socially, Summer 28 is the Shooting Star Festival: invite a 4-heart-or-better candidate to watch the meteors (the date scene needs the "Beautification Project" quest done). By the Ruby rank (Renown 30), hives and terrariums open via "Apiaries and Terrariums" — the first genuinely passive economy.

  • Farm iron on floors 21-39; 5-floor pushes, end on elevator floors.
  • Tea → Green Tea is the summer money loop; stockpile extra Tea — it fuels Roasted Rice Tea in Fall.
  • Complete "Upgrade Hayden's Barn" to add four animal species at once.
  • Be 4+ hearts with your favorite candidate before Summer 28 — the Shooting Star date is the romance runway's signature moment.
  • Crop Festival on the 18th: your produce quality finally competes.
  • Season targets: Renown 25-35, Earth Seal broken at Floor 40, ranching at a steady daily rhythm.

Fall: Deep Earth & the Money Season

Fall is the most profitable season in the game: Rice and Wheat dual-regrow at 150t, and Rice is one of the most profitable crops overall because it fuels Roasted Rice Tea — the single best recipe value in the game (350t per batch, ~260t net). Plant both early and let the regrow engine run; the Seed Maker (~2,000t, after the General Store repair) converts surplus to seeds so you never buy seeds again. In the Deep Earth (floors 41-59), Silver Ore and Emerald nodes plus the first genuinely dark stretches of combat. This is also the season the romance question stops being theoretical: the 8-heart event forces the Dating-versus-Best-Friends choice. Choose Dating if you are heading for the marriage track — the 9 and 10 heart events that follow are gated by commitment items, and the Harvest Festival (10th) and Halloween (28th) both give courtship occasions.

8-heart decisionRomance (Dating) or Best Friends — friendship-only is fully viable, but marriage needs Dating
Queen BerriesStock up before the Harvest Festival (10th)
Season targetsRenown 40-55; Sapphire rank unlocks weekly Crown Requests (75 Renown each — the best source in the game)

💡 Crown Requests at Renown 50 change the whole economy of the bar — from here on, weekly Crowns do more than a week of board errands.

Winter: Lava Caves, Alpacas & the Endgame Runway

Winter is when the game stops pretending it is cozy. The crop calendar narrows to Snow Peas (the only regrow crop, 125t), so income shifts to cooking, animals and the Lava Caves (floors 61-79: Gold Ore and Diamond, lava you solidify with a watering can or Summon Rain). The ranch expands one last time — Alpacas and Capybaras unlock in Winter of Year 1, completing the eight-species roster. The Animal Festival on the 10th (enter one large + one small animal, win cosmetics) and the Gift Festival on the 24th are the social calendar. And this is the engagement runway: if your candidate is at 10 hearts with all heart events seen and you are officially Dating, Elsie visits the farm with the Engagement Ring recipe — which needs the "Dragonsworn Tablet" story quest and access to the Floor 90 Dragon Forge. Winter is for preparing exactly that descent.

  • Snow Peas are the winter field; the real money is Roasted Rice Tea from your Fall stockpile.
  • Adopt Alpacas and Capybaras — the final two species, Winter of Year 1 only.
  • Lava Caves: pour a Watering Can (or cast Summon Rain) on lava to walk across it.
  • Animal Festival (10th): bring your best-hearts pair.
  • Ruins Seal at Floor 80 is the last gate before the endgame biome.
  • Season targets: Renown 60-80; Gold rank expands the Saturday Market twice (Lv 60 and 80).

The Final Push: Ancient Ruins & Floor 100

Floors 81-99 are the Ancient Ruins: Mistril Ore and Pink Diamond, shrouded in darkness (your Mistril armor emits light — another reason to craft it first). The Final Seal waits on Floor 100, and the Dragon Forge on Floor 90 is where endgame gear and the marriage-critical recipes are crafted. This is a preparation fight, not a reflex fight: Mistril-tier equipment, healing food, the Sacred Light spell for whole-floor illumination, and 5-floor discipline. Clearing Floor 100 completes the mine arc, finishes the engagement chain's material needs, and points you at the true endgame — the Mistril rank (Renown 100) and everything v1.0 hides behind it.

Renown Budget: What Actually Fills the Bar

Renown levels cost progressively more (level 1 needs 20 points, level 100 needs 356 — 18,006 cumulative to max), so late-season targets need more efficient sources, not just more of them. The hierarchy: story quests pay 20 each (the last three repair quests pay 50), ordinary board requests pay around 20, and the weekly Crown Requests that unlock at Renown 50 pay 75 — the best single source in the game. Museum donations, shipping and town projects fill the gaps continuously. A sustainable weekly rhythm for Year 1: clear the request board daily while passing it, run the week's Crown Request the day it appears, and let donations ride along as you play. Collect every level's chest beside the Request Board — the Stamina Ups at every tenth level are permanent power.

Romance Timeline for Year 1

The heart-event ladder runs 2 → 4 → 6 → 8 → 9 → 10, and 1.0 raises everyone's cap to 10. The 8-heart event is the fork: Romance (Dating) or Best Friends — friendship-only is fully viable with no penalty, but the marriage track requires Dating. From there: 10 hearts, all heart events seen, and Elsie delivers the Engagement Ring recipe; the ring itself needs Dragon Forge crafting, which needs the mines. A comfortable Year 1 pacing: greetings and gifts from Spring (cheap early hearts), 4 hearts by the Shooting Star Festival (Summer 28) for the meteor date, steady dating through Fall's festival pair, the 8-heart decision before Winter, and the proposal staged for the post-Floor-100 window. Saturday dates with a partner are the single fastest heart engine — plan weekends around them.

  • 2 → 4 → 6 → 8 → 9 → 10: the event ladder every candidate shares.
  • 4 hearts by Summer 28 unlocks the Shooting Star date scene (needs "Beautification Project").
  • 8-heart fork: Dating vs Best Friends — marriage needs Dating; you can date several but marry one.
  • 10 hearts + all events + Dating → Elsie's Engagement Ring recipe visit.
  • Ring crafting needs "Dragonsworn Tablet" + Dragon Forge (Floor 90) — the romance endgame is the mining endgame.
  • After the wedding: children are optional, via the Mystical Feather.

Money Timeline: What to Plant, What to Skip

Regrow crops are the whole philosophy: first growth, then a harvest every three days for the rest of the season, far outperforming single-harvest crops per seed. The per-season script is short — Peas in Spring, Tea (brewed to Green Tea) in Summer, Rice plus Wheat in Fall, Snow Peas in Winter — with single-harvest sprints (Cabbage, Watermelon, Pumpkin) filling spare tiles only when you will actually be there to replant. The two structural purchases that change the economy: the Seed Maker (~2,000t) once the General Store is repaired, which converts regrow surplus into seeds so you stop buying them; and the Large Greenhouse (~100,000t), which is the true late-game investment and can wait for Year 2. Cooking is not optional money — Roasted Rice Tea is the best recipe value in the game, and it runs on the Fall stockpile all winter.

💡 Fall is the money season — if you only optimize one season's fields, make it Fall's Rice + Wheat.

Festivals: The Nine Dates That Matter

Festivals are fixed-date, zero-penalty, and quietly load-bearing: several pay Renown, two are romance set pieces, and the Animal Festival pays cosmetics for your best-hearts pair. Skipping any of them costs nothing permanent (everything returns next year), but attending costs almost nothing too — mark the calendar, show up, enter the thing.

Skill Goals by Season

Nine skills, level 60 each, and the perk tiers arrive at levels 1 / 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 — which makes skill planning a matter of hitting tier thresholds before the content that needs them. Mining is the spine (Tier 2 at 15 for Iron Hound, Tier 5 at 60 for Mistril Mastery); Ranching gates building grades (20 for medium, 40 for large); Combat keeps the biome roster survivable; Cooking is the money skill (Roasted Rice Tea). The healthy attitude is the game's own: Essence drops from balanced play, so rotating activities is not lost time — it is the intended build. Aim for Mining ~20 by end of Spring, ~35 by end of Summer, ~50 by end of Fall, and the Tier 5 push in Winter alongside the Ancient Ruins descent.

  • Mining tier thresholds (15/30/45/60) are the real gates — plan floors around them.
  • Ranching 20 / 40 unlock Medium and Large buildings (and their automation slots).
  • Cooking carries winter money — keep it level with your Rice stockpile.
  • Respec exists: do not hoard Essence in terror of a wrong choice.

Year 2 and Beyond: What Changes

The honest spoiler: structurally, not much — and that is the design. Year 2 is Year 1's systems at higher tiers: Mistril rank pushing toward Renown 100, the Large Greenhouse (~100,000t) ending seasonal crop limits, the complete eight-species ranch at full production, marriage life and optionally children, and the perk trees filling out to Tier 5 across every skill. What you are really building in Year 1 is the machine that makes Year 2 effortless: a ranch that feeds itself, a mine routine that prints ore, a kitchen that turns stockpiles into Tesserae, and a town at Gold rank whose Saturday Market stocks everything. Set your own Year 2 goals — full museum, 10 hearts everywhere, a farm worth screenshotting — because past Floor 100 and the wedding, Mistria hands the roadmap to you.

💡 The museum completion checklist tool exists exactly for this moment — Year 2 is its home turf.
